I think all middle schoolers read it for school
It isn't really hard, but the person who wrote it is from kansai so you will encounter a dialect but it isn't too bad (and is great for studying)
I've read a bunch of books but no book has ever held me captive as this one has. All others feel like I'm studying but only this one keeps me readings hours straight just to see what happens
It's a story based off a famous comedian and he talks about his life as homeless and all the crazy adventures as well as sad ones.
edit: I think it turned into a movie too
NOTE:Generally, I don't recommend watching any show if you plan on reading it because that ruins surprises and makes things really boring. A movie is 2 hours but a book is 40. If you have problems understanding the context then it might be necessary though
