sorry if this question is annoying, but i'd rather get this out of the way now while i have a little bit of sentences in my srs then later when i have a bunch. anyways.....

On my srs i have 185 sentences but im worried im not learning them the right way.
like lets say I'm reading 東京に着くと、雨が降っていました。 but i don't remember what 着く means or what the kanji's reading is, so then i skip it and read the rest of the sentence and i remember entering the the sentence in and remember that 着く Is つ・く does that still count as as me knowing the sentence?

Definitely! This is the exact reason you learn words within context.

That's how I do it. Opinions may vary, but I am primarily concerned with remembering words in contexts, so it doesn't matter to me whether I couldn't remember what a word meant or how it was read or how it was written (I review both ways) without the rest of the sentence. If I was concerned about that, I'd just drill vocabulary items in isolation instead.
It's also worth nothing that 着く (and so many other things) can be read multiple ways and with different meanings. For instance, it can also be はく, which means to wear (or put) things on your lower body. Words, especially Japanese words, become pretty meaningless out of context anyway.

I think this is an example of a problem that occurs specifically because you don't have much info in your SRS yet. I wouldn't worry about, since it's bound to happen, and it'll work itself out as your deck grows. I'd just count it as a pass.

haha it's just that these random people seem like they've been around the block before. me on the other hand i've just began to leave my house.

All of using this particular flashcard program at all, and more specifically filling them with sentences, was due to asking questions about how best to learn Japanese - most frequently directed toward random people from the internet. In some cases directly, but googling for methods and opinions is asking for the advise of others as well.

I learn from others by listening to how they do things and mimicking them. Creating my own methods from scratch seems wasteful at best and disastrous at the worst. Once I've mimicked others enough that I think I know what I'm doing, I'll start modifying their methods to better suit my style.

I wouldn't give myself a 4 or even a 3, but I wouldn't fail the card.
I actually think I've never 0'd a sentence card. Kanji, although, once in a while.

Usually, I'm all for posting questions, but I agree with Codexus on this one - for some reason, there are recently more posts about arbitrary little details of learning technique... ...but we can always ignore these (we should).

It is all about perception. Something that's an arbitrary and insignificant little detail to you often might be a life changing revelation to someone less educated in the matter.

So who defines arbitrary and insignificant?
For a millionaire 400? would be an insignificant amount of money but for many students here that's a months income! Is it then okay for someone to say to both that from now on they have to get by with 400? less a month?
Who decides what's insignificant?

Therefore IMO there are no stupid questions and isn't peer support the major reason for the existence of this community?

Honestly, I don't think the way you see these "insignificant" questions is quite right. I mean, this is just the impression I get, but they aren't really asking questions about "Am I doing this right?". The real core concern here is "Am I alone?", and it's one that internet forums made to answer. I know some people are capable of just forging through their worries, confident that they'll figure out if they're justified or not in the end, but that doesn't mean that it's wrong to ask other people if some quirk you've noticed is normal or not.

Actually Heisig wasn't the first to use the technique he did. My high school Jap teacher in the early 1970s occasionally used it with odd kanji.

Heisig's contribution was to apply the technique to thousands kanji in a systematic way.
