Do you know of any flashcards or other learning resources for reading Edo period kuzushiji? This is the style of calligraphy used in Edo period woodblock-printed books. I have found introductory books and a dictionary, but it would be nice to practice with flashcards or another system.

I downloaded Anki yesterday to see if I could make flashcards with that. I think I would have to scan pages and clip phrases or characters to insert as picture files. Assuming I used pages for which transcriptions have already been published, it would not be hard to type up readings for the back of the cards. So, I think it is possible, but it would take a long time. I'm also not sure about copyrights. If something is already available online, I'd rather use that.

I have no idea of any resources on the web; But I would be very interested in the deck if you get to make it.

There are is at least one book in both databases (Ise Monogatari), so you could try that. I think I will stick to print sources for now and give up on the flashcard idea.

You could always scan/copy the pictures and import them into an srs. Might not be worth your time though.
