Looking for a particular type of Japanese music

#1
Hey, all. I'm trying to surround myself in Japanese more and more (trying to do the AJATT thing). One of the problems is that I'm trying to find good Japanese music to listen to.

We all have different ideas of what "good" is, so I'll say that I would love to find music that is similar to this (actually these are Swedish artists):

Da Buzz:

Pay TV:

BWO:

Now, J-Pop is kiiinda similar to this, but the things I really like here are: the extremely catchy melodies/harmonies/progressions, the style of singing in Da Buzz, and the dance feel. Does anyone know a Japanese artist/group that is similar to this?

Just kinda throwing this out there to see what you guys have experienced.

I am not certain that this band is exactly what you want, but a band called move is the closest I know to what you're looking for. They used to be called MOVE and M.O.V.E, so if you want to look for that, you may have better luck:

They give a great live show, by the way. Big Grin

Oh, wow... I like m.o.v.e! Very trance/dance. I will have to find more of their music now. Thank you very much!

M.O.V.E. is awesome! You might also try Ayumi Hamasaki and Hannibal. How I discovered them a few years ago was by downloading an Nsync demo song, but inside, were songs by these two artists. Ironically, ever since, I've listened to the songs, and have kept them on my collection. Beautiful music, but not recommended for when you're really tired unless you wish to fall asleep.
