No worries Wink

Jarvik7 Wrote:One problem, you don't count kanji with 個, you count them with 字 or 文字.
Oops, how embarrassing. It's fixed now though, thanks for letting me know.

I liked cameron's idea, but unfortunately my desired combo of resolution/kanji wasn't included (1680x1050, RTK1 kanji only).

I ended up just using the same concept but integrating my specific needs into it, namely leaving room on the right for my preferred Start menu location, 1680x1050 resolution, only RTK1 kanji, and empty space so my Recycle Bin doesn't cover up any characters.

So if anyone else happens to have my same requirements, here you go, with two more extra for people who like to have two icon spaces and their Start at the top or bottom.

Nice work, spoonsman. I'm susprised at how well you did that effect on the characters.

I've been using a new wallpaper which is similar but prettier than the previous ones I made. It's orange/green.

I provide this in only RTK3 for two reasons,
a) it encourages people to keep studying through RTK3, and
b) I'm lazy

Thanks guys, I found my new wallpaper. The green, Matrix movie looking one is cool. Funny, I was actually looking to change it anyway.

This was one that was missing from my kanji wallpaper series earlier, tristanthorn had sent me a PM; it's 1451-1560:

The original series is here:

I've been using Cameron's wallpaper(3007) for awhile now. Some teachers at the school I work at told their students about the wallpaper so now once a week during lunch, the students and I write kanji until either I don't recognize theirs, or they don't recognize mine.

Haven't lost yet Smile

It's really alot of fun!

Thanks Cameron!

Wow, this is awesome! It really gives you a nice visual idea of where you are... more inspiring than some arbitrary number. Thanks so much!

Very nice work. Can you post the original PSD source files or the wallpaper without the cool shading-colors effects?

I haven't got permission to link, so I'm assuming this guy wont mind. But I wanted the exact same thing a few weeks back, and found someone who had all the heisig kanji on one wallpaper.

You have to download a special image program to modify it, but you can put coloured layers over the top of the kanji which you have completed (I just put a light, translucent blue over mine) so that you how far you've gone. It's actually very motivating.

Or you could just download the png file. But the markings really make it worthwhile for me. And seeing all the kanji at the same time really helps you see progress.
