I was just wondering how everyone went about learning the readings after finishing RTK1. Did you just slowly enter them into this website in the answer field? Did you make flash cards? Did you use a different SRS? I'm a bit baffled as to where to go from here...

I haven't finished the book, but I've read that reading helps. I tried it with the kanji I know and it helps.

I'm doing the sentences. I just started out a week ago after finishing the book and it's working like a charm! So far I only have about 150 cards and 380 individual kanji in my anki deck but it really is a good technique.
I have also experimented a little with kanji-town method and I think it's a good suppliment to the sentences. I have lots of books and a couple of magazines that I brought from Japan and I'm mining them. I also add some example sentences from text books when I need to reinforce some kanji or reading.
It is truly awesome! This way I read some Japanese stuff that I'm familiar with all the time and I finally am beginning to be able to read and understand all the stuff I have had around for ages with less effort.
