I'm having a really difficult time remembering this one, and would appreciate any tips!

What do you associate the word "delight" with? Try to tie it to that.

For example, if delight makes you think of "Turkish Delight" then:

You buy some Turkish delight for your pet Pegasus, but he just looks at it and yawns. "I thought he'd be delighted", you say.

I think I'm having an issue remembering the Pegasus part. I don't know why- I've written this kanji out so many times, and it's still not sticking!

On christmas day we sat down to eat some turkey, but just as we were about to eat it, it sprouted big wings and turned into a small naked pegasus! It neighed and flew out the window, and we were left lacking the main ingredient for our dinner. That christmas day was really lacking.

Angel Delight! The angel zooms around the heavens on the back of a very angry pegasus, until during a loop the loop it falls off, and the pegasus is delighted because with lack of a rider it can do whatever it wants!

Ummm no...

I googled it, and wiki says it is a British dessert.....

What do you associate with pegasus and delighted?

Have you seen the movie Hercules? He has a pet pegasus right?

So imagine being Delighted that Hercules, the handsome strapping man, has come to rescue you, and you totally start making out with him... but his annoyed pegasus waits outside yawning, "jeez take all day in there..."


Personally I think short and sweet should do it though.

I was delighted the parts I ordered arrived, because my horse was lacking wings for so long, and now I can make it a pegasus.

2. picture yourself on a Pegasus, yawning while you do it

Imagine your character tied to a horse with a turkey's body on their way to the magical land of delight. Or whatever.

Or, instead of pegasus, you can try Heron/Crested Bird (which is the closest etymological meaning), to your luck, a heron looks like a part turkey, part horse http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Egretta_thula1.jpg (look at its head) and the 'head' on the primtive for bird is the thing that changes.

Though the bad thing is, PEGASUS is something that is more concrete in ones mind, i didn't really know what a heron was until i wiki'ed it.

In order to not confuse this with persuade, realise that someone authoritarian usually stands in a high place, or in a place next to something high (like a tree), and they stay as the 'authoritarian figure', where as with persuade the authority figure has to get out of his position and enforce his power to persuade someone.

Again, the heron, , keeps an OUTLOOK over his chicks by SEEING all around him.

勧-Persuade
Imagine the Herron, is shouting at his kids for not obeying h is authority. He smacks one wing down on a table whilst flexing his muscles persuading and advising them to listen to him.
