Because my last name is ブリジャアス, I have to use 鰤(ぶり) if I want to keep my name under 4 Kanjis

I can't see woodwojr's and sfekas' avatars. Is it just me?

Because this seemed like a fun thread and I hadn't been using one till now. It's the first kanji in my name if I were to write it in kanji.

I didn't really do much research on mine, i just e-dict'ed for "olive tree' and took out the first kanji from
橄欖 【かんらん】 (n) (1) (uk) Chinese white olive (Canarium album), (2) olive (Olea europea) (used as an incorrect translation)
I figured if there exits a kanji for Palestine (for which there does not afaik), if I were to make one up, i'd have an olive in it ^_^

Nerdtastic reasons. Haruhi Suzumiya, and 鬱 is a fugly character. I've always like the word 'melancholy' anyway. It's ridiculously melodramatic. I also just find it amusing that the word 憂鬱 has three うs in a row.

Because it's my name.
Maybe I'll change it to something more "nerdtastic", too, though.

The special thing here is that I usually dont like the 夕-element but in this one its not only ok, but for some reason it makes a perfect finish to the kanji, adds some harmony to it, and really gives me the image of dreaming, that too something pleasant
