I was doing some digging into speech recognition earlier this evening, and was wondering if any of you with the Japanese MUI installed had played any with the Japanese speech recognition... or is this only available with the full version of Japanese Windows? I was thinking the dictation bit might make inputting things into Anki a little easier.

I have Vista Business at the moment, which doesn't include MUI support... but can do an upgrade to Ultimate for $139, which isn't terrible. Anyway.... was hoping to hear some thoughts before I took the plunge.

Are you sure Windows even has Japanese speech recognition? From what I've seen English barely works

Haha Good point. All the help files SAY that Japanese speech recognition is available.... but then again what Microsoft says and what Microsoft actually means are often two very different things.
