How about, right after you learn a kanji, look at a disgusting picutre? You anticipate that a disgusting image is about to een. We could even help by creating a collection of disturbing images to look at.

I have to say one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen was some site where people had posted pictures of asian women murdering cute little animals by stepping on them while wearing high heels. It was beyond inhumane.
