Hi Everyone! To everyone who used the AJATT method i want to know, how many sentences did it take for you to become fluent? Khatzu says to use 10000 sentences but he says he became fluent with only 7500. Anyone else do it with less than 10000?

You can't ever become fluent by learning sentences. I have read millions of English sentences and yet I am not fluent. AJATT means more than just learning sentences. It's about immersing yourself in the language. Also the number of sentences learned has no connection to your proficiency level. Someone might learn 10,000 simple sentences only to reach the same level that someone else can achieve by learning 1,000 complex sentences and doing other studies alongside. Furthermore it's important what and how much you study beside learning sentences, like reading books, watching Japanese TV etc.

Your english looks better than mine. Maybe you are too hard on yourself. =P
Sequa is right. It takes a lot more than 10.000 sentences to became fluent. Katzu says "all japanese all the time". This means you have to bruteforce japanese inside of you from waking up to going to sleep.

You can say whatever you want to say, but if you two guys aren't fluent in English then I'm a monkey. And for the record, I consider myself not to be, act or look like a monkey
. Apart from that, I think Sequa phrased it all well.
