Having massive trouble with this one. Can't make a connection between the keyword and any of the primitives. None of the shared stories in the Study section are doing it for me. Does anyone have something brilliant that they never shared?

The kanji also has the meaning of adding to or accompanying, a bit more common than the word annex.

Personally I thought the story about Hawaii works really well. I was going to suggest something new I just thought of, but it looks like it has already been suggested in the stories as well...
You might not be able to get a story to stick for every single Kanji. Just try learning it by rote memorization if all else fails. When it pops up in your reviews fail it if the answer doesn't come to you immediately, this way you get to review it more frequently.

I don't even know what kind of story I have for this kanji, but I somehow remember it.

I sort of have visions of some kind of mighty greek god sucking up the ocean into a heaven(sort of shaped like the primitive) to give as like a flower arrangement of ocean to some other god.

I added a story for this:

Every valentine's day he sat in heaven and sobbed for her, his tears manifesting as water falling from the heavens. She knew he was out there and annexed the WaterCatcherFilterTron 5000 to her house to catch his tears. True story.
