Does anyone else struggle greatly with kanji on a computer?
For the complicated kanji i really struggle to see what it says, it's just too small and cramped. Is this a common thing or is it just me?!

If you use Firefox, you might want to try the add-on "No Squint". It will remember the zoom setting you choose for individual sites. You can probably also adjust the text size with you browser.
You're not alone. I sometimes use a little magnifying glass for distinguishing furigana (eg. ぼう vs ぽう) in some printed text.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The more time you spend with kanji, the better it will get. I remember I once saw a written version of 佐藤 where the second character looked like an ink blob to me but after challenging some Japanese people to read it, they all could. Even with very blurred or fuzzy input, your brain will learn to guess what the character is after seeing it many times and familiarity with the context will also help.
