Hello everyone! 
I was wondering if someone is a whiz when it comes to recognizing handwritten characters?
A friend of mine bought a picture in China with some calligraphy (Title or artist's signature maybe?). He was told what it means but forgot it   

I have only learned Japanese Kanji (RTK1+), and neither me nor my girlfriend (who is japanese) can make sense of this. My girlfriend recognizes the first (upper) handwritten character looks like 林 (also the right side of the upper stamp), for the rest... 

If anyone can help, I'm grateful for all suggestions!

From left to right, it's 林風瞑, 風瞑, 林風眠 respectively

Now when I compare it I can kind of see it (especially the upper left stamp), but without your help as I said, totally clueless 

My friend will certainly also be very happy, it looks like an important artist!
