I have that horrible feeling going on in my stomach, you know, of being a parasite just lurking around and seeping informations out of other people without giving them anything in return please forgive me.

My problems with sourcing Japanese books have been oficially solved today (thanks to an awesome person from another thread). See the magic for yourselves:

So, as the thread subject suggests, does anybody on here use actual Japanese textbooks meant for primary/junior/high school students? I've been lurking around Amazon Japan but most of the stuff seems to be just drills... 
If you could recommend me a series and/or a web store (doesn't have to offer international shipping), I'd be super duper thankful. I'm looking mostly for kokugo, shakai, kateika, seikatsu etc.
I'm also going to ask around Yahoo Chiebukuro, maybe some parents will help me out
If I do get some useful info I'm gonna post it here.
Not sure if going through primary 1-3  grade textbooks makes any sense; I'd love some advice on that.

Have you checked out Kinokuniya website? I did a search and found a bunch of titles.

You can narrow down to what level you're interested in at the left side. If the prices at that store is too expensive, you can always just use the site as a reference and search titles elsewhere.

Kinokuniya is a great store (seen one on my trip to Paris, unfortunately it was closed)! Sadly, there are no Kunokuniyas in my country and my wallet would die at the mere sight of the shipping fee! I'm looking for a good online store based in Japan, so that I can use the service I mentioned above to purchase the books as cheaply as possible. There are plenty on the net but I'd rather use something proven reliable... 
I'm looking through all the titles but there are no samples and I'm clueless as to what they look like inside! To be honest, I haven't ever seen a Japanese school text, though I do have some drill books by Kumon. I can't find a ranking or anything like that...
In my country f.e., there are maaany textbooks but there are also some "leading" ones, you know, the most recommended by teachers.

But Kinokuniya has local stores in Japan. According to the website, there are 66 Japanese store locations.

I use Japanese school textbooks occasionally.  Amazon has plenty of them.  The thing is a lot of Japanese textbooks are nothing but drills.  The series I find most useful is the 理解しすい series by 文英堂.

I recognize that series I was taking a look at the biology and chemistry book in google image search. I like that the terms are in red because I assume students use the Memorizing sheet (Zebra Check set for example) while they study.

I have been going through some elementary kokugo textbooks with a friend. I find them interesting because although we are also (rather sporadically) doing Kanzen Master at N2 level currently I don't have much idea of basic things like paragraphing in English (I can do it, I think, but I don't actually know what I am doing, I just do it by instinct).

To me they are more interesting than vastly helpful, though I do think they are probably helping me. My friend, however, has improved massively as a result of them. I think she had some blind spots about the way Japanese holds together and working through some elementary textbooks has really cleared her mind somehow.

As you probably know I am rather an immersion-over-study person, though I think native textbooks count at least half as immersion.
