News Web Easy - difficult language version?

#1
Hi, everyone.

I have recently been on this Japanese news site called "News Web Easy" - they offer news in Easy Japanese.
What I don't understand, however, is where you can find the corresponding version in normal ("difficult") language. Did they remove this option? (普通のニュースはこちらです) I really hope they have not... Do you know anything about this?

Thank you.

I guess this is only for the last articles they posted before the holidays. Those are not articles that came from the "real" web site, so there s no link to the original non exisitng article.

The articles seem to be based on TV news stories, not online articles. So there will usually be a video of the original story, as it aired on TV. I tend to switch to that one pretty early, when the dumbed down style of the article starts to annoy me.

But there's no corresponding article...though it shouldn't be hard to find articles on the same stories (in both Japanese and English), with a Google News search.

[edit] I guess there are no videos for the articles on there now. But it's Golden Week in Japan right now (a week long holiday, everybody's off work), so things will probably return to normal on Monday.

Thanks everyone.

@Stansfield123: Yeah, I remember they had this option, as well as a link to the corresponding articles in the non-simplified language variant. Back in 2014 at least I think they did...

I am not sure if it's really because of the Golden Week actually, maybe they have just removed this option altogether which in my opinion would be a shame though.

Just a quick update on the situation:

It seems it really was due to the Golden Week.
Now the function 「普通のニュースを読む」 is back again.
