My friend from Japan wants to send me and my sister a gift and she asked me what would we like from Japan. I am not so sure how to answer. I want to say to her that there is no need to send any gifts as her letters and e-mails already make me and my sister very happy. If she really wants to send a gift a small omiyage would be nice. How do I say that I don't want her to spend a lot of money and that a small omiyage and a letter would be nice? Is it okay if me and my sister refuse or would be better if we tell her what we want. And finally are there any special phrases for this kind of e-mail/letter? Below are some phrases that I tried to translate. Sorry for asking so many questions. Thank you.

Please don't spend too much money.

I'm afraid that reading your Japanese phrases/sentences above, it comes across as rather confusing because the messages are in conflict with each other; whereby it says "......there is really no need to" and in the next line, it says "Just a small gift would be nice/would be fine".  

If I may suggest, you might try and see if your Japanese friend can fold some origami crafts with paper as a gift instead, for a start?  Perhaps a gift can be something created with a personal touch like drawings/doodles/a little sketch-book of their idols, towns, food, etc, etc...
