I liked the Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanji one. It made me laugh pretty good.
But yeah, the book is great and so is this site and although I haven't gotten to 2042 yet, I have done enough to see that this method is some much better than rote learning. I wonder how come some people still think that it's better to spend so much time doing something so bore as drilling kanji instead of using more effective ways of learning.
Oh well, maybe that's just a tradition that's hard to get rid of.

I think that many of the dissenters have already dedicated so much time to their own learning methods that they feel the need to bash so they don't feel like they've been wasting their time.. I think others are so intimidated by the idea of learning all the characters with no readings in book 1 that they lash out as well. The time factor scares them away. It does take a leap of faith to start chapter one, then it starts getting fun. ^^
