Core 10k Anki Deck

#1
I have set up the Core 10k to my preferences in Anki and thought that others might benefit from it, so I thought I would share.

Let me know what you think!  Smile

Some notable settings -

1. Input is enabled and will tell you whether or not you got the answer correct.
2. Alternative answers will be excepted as correct answers
3. An internal IME is active, so there is no need to use Windows/Google IME
4. There are button links to online dictionaries for each focus word.
5. English answers are no longer case sensitive or symbol sensitive
6. Card types include cards for Recall, Recognition, and Audio Comprehension
7. I have made separate Sentence cards to focus on the sentence as a whole.

Could you describe more clearly what exactly has been adjusted in this deck?

I've added some more detail in the OP.
Here's a walkthru video of some of the features as well.

I really like the deck, great format! Is it possible to add a image on the back of the deck for those words that are giving me difficulty ?

Also as an aside, I'm curious how you're using the deck with your wanikani studies?

Thank you.

Sure. The images are still loaded in the deck, so just add the field to the back template and you're good to go.

Since the main focus of WaniKani is Kanji I just go through the 10k in order of most common usage and don't worry too much on the kanji. I focus more on pronunciation and recognition. It all blends together after a while.

What is the meaning of ":chicken: :chicken: :chicken" in some cards?

Thanks

Just an inside joke when I was creating the deck.
