Kanji Learning Tutorial with kanji Flow app

#1
I wrote up a full tutorial regarding completely mastering the kanji on Medium using an app I created, kanji Flow, as well as imiwa? and Kanji Koohii.  It's a bit of a long read but, since I think most of the people on these forums must be quite serious about studying kanji, I would greatly appreciate any feedback that anyone might be able to offer:

Thanks all!

I am a bit surprised that this post did not get any reply.
I have downloaded the application and it looks quite promising. The guide lines provided on the web site are quite detailed and should help complete beginners to take a good start.
[BTW, Firefox complains about "embedded content from a site that does not comply with the Do Not Track (DNT) setting" (this has to do with the tutorial videos). What is wrong with them?]

Personally I have spent too much time reviewing on this site to seriously consider switching to something else, especially since the program does not seem to have a bulk-import option for stories or review records.
This being said, learners still at the beginner level might want to give it a try.

I liked the interaction with Imiwa? (no need to load the iPhone memory with still another copy of JEdict) as well as with this site as a source of inspiration and/or a place for sharing stories.

I have no time to experiment further with the app but, if other people have tried it, it would be nice to get some feedback here. People willing to share new learning tools should be encouraged!

Actually it's a very good site with a lot of information and I think it didn't get any reply because a lot of people by now have finished(or almost) rtk .

Edit: The app seems very good but unfortunately i don't have an iphone so i can't give any feedback.

I tried this app when it first came out. Looks like there are a lot more features since I tried this app. This was my primary mobile SRS for Japanese vocab as I didn't buy the anki app for the iPhone. Making a deck was as easy as making a saved list in imiwa? and importing into the app.

I use an android now so I can't say how it works now. Would have to find my iPhone somewhere in my home (first update the iOS as it is still iOS 6 lol) to try it out

Don't have an iPhone (only android), so I can't test it out, and I finished RTK long ago, so I'm not the target audience anyway, but it seems well made from the videos! It would be nice if you mentioned that it was iOS only earlier in the article, so Android users & others wouldn't waste time looking for the download link.

Thanks for the feedback.  I get that same DNT warning in Safari.  If you have a "Do Not Track" feature enabled it'll always complain about YouTube embeds because YouTube will just go ahead and track your video views anyway.

I do have a CSV import option but I'll have to test it to see if it works with Kanji Koohii exports.

Thanks again for taking a look and leaving feedback.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry you wasted time hunting for the link.  I put in a line at the very top stating that the apps are iOS only.

Hi all, thanks so much for taking a look and providing some feedback.

I think I should've been a bit clearer that I was really just looking for some RtK vets to look over my recommendations in the guide to make sure that I didn't offer any bad advice or completely incorrect information (my biggest worry).  I do appreciate everyone taking a look at the app too, even if it was just checking out screenshots or watching the videos.

By the way, were the video voice overs annoying?  I don't have the proper equipment or facilities to do good ones myself so I just used a text-to-speech option...I think it's not too bad but sometimes his intonation is strange.  I usually just found it to be amusing but I could certainly imagine others being annoyed by it.  I added in full subtitles so people can just mute it and read along if they so desire.

I know that I need to make an Android version; it's a great platform and most of the interest I get in the app comes from young people in places like the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand...I think a great majority of them couldn't really afford an iPhone if they wanted to and are, of course, using Android handsets.

Perhaps I'll pick up a Nexus this year to give myself the motivation to finally get an Android version out but it just depends on how busy I am with other projects.

Anyway, thanks again everyone and best of luck with your studies.
