Gardening Resources in Japanese

#1
Hello fellow gardeners who are also learning Japanese (anyone?!? Tongue )!

Does anyone have any idea on where I can get gardening information in Japanese? It can be anything informational and instructional. I'm interested in all kinds of gardening from veg, ornamentals, western style, pots, hanging gardens, etc.

I know there are a few TV shows which come on once a week or so on Saturdays or Sundays early in the morning (because old people like me like to get up early, I suppose  Big Grin ) but I don't have access to Japanese TV broadcasts here in the US (or can I get them somehow?)

Any directions to any kind of media would be appreciated!

Google Video searching 園芸 seems to turn up tutorials as well as some clips from a NHK show called 趣味の園芸.

ah, that's the name! Is there a way to get video broadcasts here in the US? I did a quick Amazon.co.jp search and it mostly seems like they sell a magazine but no videos. I sort of looked around the website but didn't see any way to watch/purchase the series. Are they even for sale in Japan or is it over the air only?

All three seem interesting especially やさいの時間

Last I checked, you might be able to get TVJapan through your TV company, if you have cable or satellite.

Though I would check if they have the shows you want before subscribing.

There's also tablets which stream Japanese TV that you can buy:

You might have luck with free video sites by searching something like '"show title" 無料動画'.
