New to this forum and hope to meet great friendly people! !  

We are taking a Japanese  1 class through Rosetta stone and loving it for the most part. Been using the English translation of words to try and make it a bit easier as the "typing  your answers in characters" can be glitchy. .. . 

Here is my question :
The following 4 phrases are supposed to be related to skirts, pants and dresses. The ENDINGS are confusing and the associated pictures do not do a good job of displaying the difference. 

Looking for clarification on difference between:
.....  haite AND .... kite 

1.  Onna no hitotatachi wa sukaato o haite imasu

2. Kare wa shatsu o kite imasu 

3. Onnanokotachi wa wanpiisu o kite imasu 

4. Karera wa zubon o haite imasu

They both mean put on or wear. Haite imasu is only for clothing below the waist, kite imasu can be any clothing.

The way I remember it is, if it's anything from the waist down (underwear, jeans, shoes, socks, etc) then I use "haku" (haite imasu). For things that go on my upper body (such as shirts), then I use kiru (kite imasu).
