Ok that looks like a strange question but since I'm far from being fluent at reading/writing Japanese I was wondering how reasonable it would be to use sentences from 2channel , in particular, to lookup grammar etc. I sometimes come accross a 2ch topic while Google'ing up a word and let's just say, it can be funny stuff ^_^
Do Japanese people do "lazy" writing as much as on english forums? Eg. "tho" instead of "though" , "should of" instead of "should have" etc etc. ? Or do they generally write "better" (perhaps with the help of the inevitable word-completion input methods) ?

I was told there's a lot of slang/inside jokes that are specific to 2ch. Also internet speak is fairly different from real life talk (frequent use of 俺, ending a lot of things with ぞ, etc.)
I've taken sentences from the 電車男 thread. Even if you're learning 'errors,' its still real Japanese.
I think overall the level of lazy writing is lower than English boards though.

if i talk lyk dis is good to lern????
But I'm interesting in knowing too. I expect it would be similar to English forums(which have a ton of typos and bad writing). I try to restrict my reading to published works, proper websites, and carefully written fiction...

I've been told that in Japanese forums, they often 'mispel' words, for example writing them with different kanji.

One thing I noticed in 電車男 was that, instead of "お前ら(おまえら)", the board members were using "おまいら"/"おまい"

Some of the Japanese used on the internet and 2ch is not understandable even to native Japanese speakers. Yes, they do purposely bend the rules of Japanese to create comedic effect.

It's funny that the komachi site came up-- my girlfriend goes there rather often, and I myself was thinking about checking it out, since I need more reading practice anyway. It kind of reminds me of the advice column part in Genki II, so it's a little なつかしい in a way.
Anyway, she said that since it's hosted by the Yomiuri Shinbun, it's much more mainstream than 2ch, hence you get much more, ah, normal people. There is, however, a hitch: komachi was originally a place for women to talk with other women about women related problems (inlaws, boyfriends, etc.) and although more men are coming by, komachi is still primarily populated by women writing to other women.
So, yes, the Japanese is much more normal than 2ch, as are the people and topics involved, but do keep in mind that most of it is women talking to women, so it's best to keep that in mind when going through it.
