Which would be best for inputting sentences into Anki and reviewing? Would it be better to review using by producing Chinese from english sentences or producing the english meaning from Chinese(Hanzi) sentences?
Also, I'm going to be doing this based on the ChinesePod.com sentences, would it be better to input sentence by sentence or complete dialogues as one card?
What I'm planning on doing is have each chinesepod.com lesson in flash cards(sentence by sentence or complete dialogues) and have a seperate anki deck for the additional vocabulary that accompanies each lesson. What are your opinions of this method?

Chinese>English. (and eventually just Chinese) If you're worried about not getting writing practice, you can replace one or two characters with pinyin, or do audio cards.
Sentence by sentence (sometimes, if the sentence has many new things, break it down to phrases.)
I wouldn't have a separate deck for vocabulary, let the sentences take care of it. (But instead of listening to me, try it out. Take a few comparable articles and do one without a separate vocab deck and one with and compare the results after a month.)
Also, I think chinesepod blows, but maybe it's just the guy's annoying accent and that I have to listen to it once a week in class. Check out zhongwen Red, the format is very nice, easily SRSed with accompanying audio. (Although the audio varies in quality, it's usually okay for beginners.)

Well the separate deck for vocabulary is because each CPod lesson includes supplementary vocabulary that is separate from the dialogue. Some of the vocab can fit into the dialogue, others don't(different grammar, subject/topic...etc) and I don't have the proficiency yet to create sentences from these additional words, so instead of letting them go to waste so to speak I would stick them in a separate deck. Do you still think it would be best to leave them out?
I like ChinesePod very much. I agree Zhongwen Red would be much better if I just wanted sentences, but the CPod offers an in depth explanation of each dialogue and its grammar and nuances which is very valuable to me as a beginner.
I'm surprised this thread has gotten 100 views and only 1 reply :p Any other opinions?
