annoyed: Rice Field stroke order

#1
So I started with RtH today.. and I noticed that the stroke order of 'Rice field' in hanzi is different from the stroke order in kanji.

That's not what annoys me however... it's the text under the character, in both RtK and RtH, that says : "You will find that it follows perfectly the principle stated in frame 4 (North to South, West to East, Northwest to Southeast)"

Really? Really?? Big Grin

I thought that just meant that no strokes go backwards like the first stroke in 禾.

Another way to look at it: he's emphasizing that you should draw the enclosure first.

First the vertical line, then the horizontal, then the last vertical.

I don't really focus too much on stroke order when it comes to the simpler kanji, though.
