Hi

I expect the answer to my following question is no but:

Is their anyway of viewing Japanese websites on my sony ericson (spelling) z610i. Perhaps there is a Java browser with built in Japanese fonts...

Any ideas

For anyone interested the best solution to the above problem I've found is to use the following gateway to convert the text to images. I've tried it with anki for mobiles and it seems to work OK but sometimes it can't convert a particular flash card( I'm not sure why). It's quite slow and may be expensive on some networks. However its my only option for April so I gonna give it a try.

Ah sorry how stupid of me:

I used this gateway although I'm sure others must exist too:

I've got the Verizon Voyager and I just tried, using the gateway, to access http://www.famitsu.com and it was unable to get any of the text. So I'm confused as to how this is suppose to work...?

Sorry is "Verizon Voyager" a phone?

There are a couple of settings you need to get it to work...

1:Click the checkbox - 'Disable all sight-related access options (select this if you are fully sighted)
2:Click the 'Characters button'.
3:Beside 'Convert characters from which language?' select 'Japanese' from the drop down menu.
4:Insure the checkbox thing beside 'images' is selected.
5:Enter ULR then select 'Get Page'

Did you do the above?

Saying that I had a problem on one page where all the で's where converted to い's so now I am wondering how good it is?
