Hi, relative newbie with a question.
Heisig doesn't include the kanji 尃, I'm assuming because it's not very common? Do you think learning it separately might help with remembering 博 (#48)? I always forget about that last little 'drop'.

No, because the right side of 博 is not the same as 尃, which has 甫 on top.
(尃 is exceedingly rare; it's likely that you would never encounter that kanji in your life.)

People have different ways of remembering things. I wouldn't bother learning that character unless it created a vivid image in my mind. Actually, I didn't bother learning it. If you're having issues with that part of the kanji, some sort of image for it might be very useful, but I wouldn't feel constrained by the meaning of the character. If it works for you, though, go for it.

It really depends what you're looking for and your knowledge level, but I wouldn't bother with those obscure kanjis really. Better spend the time learning actual japanese than just a rare character.
