If you want a simple way of doing it, what I do is (in excel) is put the Heisig keywords (or RTK1 numbers) in a column next to the column with the kanji I'm sorting and sort on that.

To fill in the Heisig keyword or number beside each kanji, you of course need the complete RTK1 list in another part of your excel workbook named as a lookup range, and then use vlookup on the list of kanji you want to sort.
