Just found out that some people from 福島 (the ones that grew up near the shore) call themselves 浜っ子！

SO some names I know like this are:

道産っ子: Hokkaido
浜っ子:横浜, parts of 福島
阿波っ子: 徳島
江戸っ子,江戸子: 東京
浪速っ子:大阪
薩摩芋: 鹿児島 (jk)
神戸っ子: 神戸
モスカワっ子: Moscow

The only remotely relevant thing I can add is that there's a Japanese-subbed version of 12 (a Russian remake of 12 Angry Men) up on niconico where коренной москвич (native Muscovite) is translated as モスクワっ子. Dunno if those are official subs or fansubs, but the niconico commenters seemed to find that particular word amusing.

Don't forget the テレビっ子!

When you hear people say it does 江戸子 have っ or not? It seems a half/half split IME.

Also, (not completely but) somewhat unrelated, I call one of the craft beer (and most other sorts of liquor) loving girls I know "飲兵衛っ娘 (のんべっこ)."
