Core 2k/6k audio and images not working

#1
Hello!

I have been trying to add the audio files and images to Core 2k/6k anki deck, but it is not working.

First problem, I cannot even find the collection.media file everybody is talking about, so I created one, unpacked the files and restarted anki. But when I start a study session there is no sound or any images (except for a small blue question mark). The text comes up though, but nothing else. I have tried to put the files in different maps, tried renaming them with the file ending ".media" to no avail.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

You have to put the files in the correct collection.media folder or it will not work. This folder is usually located on your c: disk and not in the folder that you likely chose to install Anki to. In my case: c:\users\"name"\my documents\Anki\"Anki account name"\collection.media. Hope this helps Smile

I did that as well, but it does not work for some reason.

When I check media inside of anki it says; Used on cards but missing from media folder:

If you still haven't gotten it to work, maybe just re-download the whole thing as an .apkg file. There's a link here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ya4p7y...ulary.apkg (found it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LearnJapanese/c...ized_deck/). Also check out Nayr's Core5000 deck if you haven't already done so.

Personally, I've never manually added audio/image files to the collection.media folder except for those generated by subs2srs. Everything else I've used came in an .apkg file, which imports automatically.

It works, thank you so much!
