If you like abandoned places, you should check out Detroit! (I used to live there too - but in the suburbs) I just saw this video today which you might find interesting.
Not that everywhere I live is messed up like that. I currently live on a tree lined street in a beautiful bedroom community.
Wow, Detroit looks like a place where I could live xD There is this website,
Abandoned Places, I love these places too
You mentioned ipodermic needles, well I like these sort of things. I know it makes no sense xD
Another of my favorities is
Bionerd's youtube channel, with their video of Cernobyl. Obviously I don't like what happened there but I like to see the abandoned schools, the desolation and so on. I know, not very kawaii asd Pls CureDolly if you're reading don't judge me <3 (just kidding baka me)

I think the same, but what interest me the most are the details about the police investigation. For example if they checked for fingerprints, but also why they speed-up the elevator's video, and why a section of the video is missing? Do they checked if the alarm does effectively work? Also in the forum I linked there is the report of a person who was there the days immediately following Elisa Lam's missing. He posted the image of his hotel reservation and he posted a photo where it was at the roof ot the hotel with his brother. He said it was very easy to access the roof, and there were even beer bottles. Why was the roof so easily accessible even if there was an investigation on?
Also her tumblr account continued to post images even after her death. If I understand right tumblr allows to decide the date when the image will be posted so probably she did this, but it's still a detail police must check. Do they check for IP to see if someone logged on her tumblr account?
This is why I would like to check official papers of the police but I understand they are not publicly available :/
Also there is another detail I wanted to discuss in that forum "websleuths" but they rejected my subscription:
Quote:"Unfortunately your registration at Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted.
Sorry,
Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community"
What requirements they are talking about if the registration form asks only for username, email and password?
EDIT:
A bit unrelated but I've found
this:
Quote:Oh I would love to hear your opinion on Murakami's style. I've only read Norwegian Wood and 3/4 of 1Q84 so I like him based on the small body of his work I've read. Don't worry I'm not a rabid fan who will attack you just because you don't like something. Wow you need to scavenge to find those English versions and also there's the minor problem of waiting because translations take time. Hmm I don't know anyone who speaks dutch but I know how Vincent Van Gogh is properly pronounced. French to me is the most beautiful spoken language. I guess English is my dominant language. My family speaks Cantonese so I can understand sorta but my vocabulary is atrocious and I can't read or write Chinese despite taking chinese school for 10 years. We have to learn a second language for high school and my school only offered French or Spanish and the Spanish teacher was completely incompetent. The French teacher was hard in that she really pushed you to practice and go outside of the textbook phrases. I also spent 5 weeks doing an exchange in Quebec to study french so I WAS good at french but now my conversation skills and listening comprehension have regressed.
