Now I have a blog too

#1
After reading this post for the second time, and inspired by the blog of CureDolly, I decided to make a blog too.

This is nothing like the CureDolly blog or other famous blogs, really just a page where I put my experience with japanese in the hope it could be useful to user which got into a burn-out like I did, to help them regain motivation and to learn from their own mistakes. I know everyone learning method is different, this is not about my method, mine is only an example of what in the end worked for me.

I linked this forum and the CureDolly blog, I hope this is not a problem. It's written like a mess but I will correct it in the next days, it's only a draft Tongue

And yes, the 5 letters acronym is silly, but as it worked for AJATT and JALUP maybe I will be famous too xD

Exciting to hear you have a blog. You didn't give a link though, so I'm not sure where to find it. Or isn't it open to the public yet? I'll be really interested to see what you have to say once it is.

As you say, everyone learns differently but we can all learn a lot from seeing what works for other people, even if we have to adapt it heavily for ourselves (I know people adapt my methods, and that's fine. We aren't trying to preach a "pure system").

Heehee, KawaJapa isn't my blog alone, but I guess I'm the biggest chatterbox around the place! Just don't tell the other Cures (⌒▽⌒)

Ahahaha CureDolly, thank you for the reply! After a day of study (here in Italy it's the 3:00 am) I'm so tired I forgotten to put the link. My only concern is that my english output sucks so it's a little enbarassing ._.

This is the blog: JAJAJ.

I must say your blog is of huge help in this period of my study, especially your philosofy about it (not only on the blog but even on your forum and here on koohii). You made me regain the spirit I had when I started with the Japanese language.
For example today I studied half the first episode of Death Note (I know it souns like a little but I still need to get used to this), all thanks to your post about the anime method with native subtitles.

Even my new vocabs card format is after your suggestion on how you use Rikaisama xD

I feel in huge debt with you!

That said I go to sleep xD

EDIT: and I forgot to say that even the way I use kanji mnemonics is inspired on what you said about it ._.

I took a look at your blog. Good job!

Although you apologize for your English I have to say that if i could use another language (other than Omochago and English) as well as you use English, I would be delighted.

I am very happy to have helped you in so many ways.

It is that sort of comment that makes it all worth while!

I'm all for a good Japanese blog, and you probably don't want to hear this but your first entry is hard to read, you should really hierarchise it a bit, for example by giving clear titles to the different parts like "beginning", "RTK", "Vocab deck", "burn-out"...

Reading around the middle now... you talk about the kanji with the keyword "convenience" but in the first instance you typed 利 instead of 便. I understood you were tired, don't worry.

Aww thank you! You made me more motivate to continue! :3

To Eratik: thank you for your reply, I love constructive criticism like yours!

It is only a draft, I will correct that horrendous mistake xD and I will split in sections and rewrite many parts of it! Maybe with the help of an english person xD

Always good to see more blogs, as its a great way to see what others are doing and compare thought-processes.
I do hope you add more original content though, because there are only so many posts that a person can read about "hey guys, this is RTK, let me show you how it works", and "this is anki, let me explain what it is" Smile

asd you're right xD for now I will leave it as it is just as a placeholder for when I will have the time, because I don't want to lose too much time on english instead of japanese xD
