I have been using the core2k/6k for a while now.
I am extremely lazy as just want to be presented with sentences, but I think it is time to emerge out of my comfort zone and add my own.
I just want your quickest method of searching a word, find sentence and it's meaning (or just the word's) and shove in the SRS . Using smartphone and a computer.
Right now I do only J-E but I think I am already at the part where I can plunge to J-J. Have about 5000 sentences I guess.

I know its not quite what you ask but I like to use subs2srs. It makes flashcards from movies with srt subtitles. Its the only way LAZY me has been able to get away from core6k and do 'real world' cards.

On android I have found Jsho is the easiest/fastest to cut and paste defintions into Anki. Unfortunately it doesn't have example sentences though

I like to take novels, put each sentence on a new line and strip the ruby with macros/regular expressions throw into into a csv, and import it into anki use moprhman organize into an i+1 fashion, then use the auto-generate readings. There is no definition, but I'm sure I've seen a script out there that could grab a definition from a list. then it would be exporting the focus morph out, and running the lookup script and re-importing the list. Without the definitions part it, this'll give me rough 15,000 flash cards in about 30 minutes. I figure after finding the script, it would add maybe another 15 minutes worth or work. So, 15,000 cards in an i+1 list in 30-45 minutes is pretty damn quick.

I use Rikaisama's Anki Real-Time Import function (http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?tid=5351). You just click a word and it creates a card with that word and the sentence it was in. I also sometimes use it on the example sentences at jisho.org or weblio, especially if I found the word somewhere other than the internet, or if I want a simpler example sentence, or if I want an English translation (for this I will however have to copy/paste the English sentence manually into Anki). You can also make cards with Japanese definitions by simply changing the dictionary in Rikaisama.

I've found that Wakaru (an iOS app) has an extremely useful feature that can make flashcards from any text (that can be displayed digitally, of course), and subsequently allows readers to choose select an example sentence of the word from the text in question to attach to the flashcard. With the right tweaking, those flashcards can go straight to Anki.

Unfortunately... as it stands right now, I've run into a slight glitch with the program's look-up feature since the latest update. I've already emailed the developer, and I expect they'll fix this immediately, however.

Be sure to update your review of Wakaru when he does the update. I only use Wakaru infrequently because studying/reading on my PC is just better I think but any Japanese language app that I use I update my review 1st thing with every release. I've been using some of these apps for years now without giving the author more money and I really appreciate the updates.

I suggest the same as justusperthes said, use Rikaisama to import sentences and/or vocabs.

At the moment I do this:

if a sentence I'm reading contains a word I dont know and the sentence itself is comprehensible, I past that same sentence on any form within my browser (for example the "add status" form on facebook). Then I put the mouse cursor over the unknown word and I press "r" on the keyboard. If the sentence is not comprehensible or is not a good example, I find another example for that unknown word and I import that sentence instead of the original one.

This is almost perfect and I suggest you to try it. The only thing that it doesn't do is to put the unknown word on bold. But maybe it is possible and I don't know how to do it. Anyone knows? :3
