Help, I just started

#1
So I just registered here and I don't know what to use-- anki or this one. I've been studying RTK1 for 2 weeks now and I just started on part 2. My question is:
1. If I'm using anki should I also use the srs here?
2. Which is better?
And also I just don't get the concept of the part 2:plots of RTK

Question 1: You should only use one. Using both would mean doing twice as many reviews, and if that was necessary then both programs would already be asking you to do it.
Question 2: Choose whichever you like best. Anki is more flexible but pretty difficult to get to grips with at first. Using the site will allow you to focus on studying and I believe you can export your progress to anki if you later decide that's the way to go.

I don't remember much about the book so I can't help you with that unfortunately.

Edit: Welcome and good luck! Big Grin

If you intend the fact that the part 1 has full stories while part 2 has just plots, and part 3 only keywords, then if I remember right Heisig explains it on RtK introduction. While in part 1 he gives full stories because he supposes the new students need it, he says by the end of the first part the student will be capable to make his own stories so he gives only a plot, and for the same reason he gives only keywords on the third part of the book and he expect the student do write his own stories. But then there is koohii with all the stories from its users Big Grin I suggest you to read a bunch of user-made stories for each kanji and then chose what you like best and customize it do make it fits more your personal experience, or take inspiration from more than one story to make your own Tongue

Thank you for the responses. I will use the srs here instead of anki. All my questions are answered.
