How do I say this....

#1
I know that "I wonder where the dog is" can be translated as "犬はどこにいるでしょうか." ("Inu wa doko ni iru desyoo ka").

But how do you say "HE wonders where the dog is"?

Thanks.

In what context? How do you know he's wondering that?

There's one example on WWWJDIC, which is pretty similar to yudantaiteki's example, but with かしら.

He wonders if you are afraid of snakes.

Edit: some more

She wondered where she had lost her purse.

He wondered why she did not come.

He wondered why they looked excited and tried to get their attention.

is what immediately came to mind for me, but maybe something else would be more natural.

Say it's a novel or short story, describing what a character is wondering about. Thanks.
