back on track with rtk

Aw I'm happy to be here again Smile I'm slowly recovering from my bad period and with it I am studying japanese again, but with a differen approach... more relaxed but also more enjoyable, without any stress and hurry ti learn x words every day etc.. this way I'm enjoying japanese again Smile

I stopped rtk reviews, well I don't remember exactly when it was, maybe seven months ago? And I stopped to study japanese four months ago... I deleted my core deck and I was doing barely nothing in japanese for the last four months.

Well, today I picked up my old rtk deck and I tried to review some kanji production style... heisig keyword and a japanese word on front... and I was shocked to see how many kanji I am still able to write! maybe even better than back in the days...
What kind of sorcery is this??
I wonder is something similar happened to someone of you too...

I too stopped RTK1 then picked it up again. I put aside grammar studies and did nothing except RTK1 until I was finished. I found that many of the first 508 kanji had stuck and I could still remember.

My advice is to finish all of RTK1 this time.

Japanese word on front with the kanji replaced by a blank, or the word in phonetic?

The word in kana, and I was thinking to remove the english keyword and leave only the kana word... but how can I do with omophones? Put more than one kana word? For example: あう、かい社... or put the kana word with the definition, like あつい: thick.
Also eventually I will review the onyomi too... what do you guys think it would be better? To review the onyomi the same time I review rtk? Or to make a separate deck for the onyomi?

Also sorry if lately I'm doing only questions without any contribution ._.
