Isn't there any app that like recognizes kanji with the camera and gives you the meaning of the kanji/word?

I thought one might be able to use kanjitomo on the screen picture obtained, for instance, using FaceTime (on Mac) or some similar video utility.
Unfortunately, what is displayed actually is a "mirror image" in which left and right are interchanged. No good for kanji :-(

Google Translate on Android does this. WWWJDIC for Android too.
