This is the point where I realise I actually only finished one book last year: キノの旅 Volume 4 by 時雨沢 恵一
I think it deserves a mention as the only book that managed to keep me interested to the very end. It's a great series that I keep coming back too, and though I admit I do tend to just read a story or two (each volume is a collection of short stories) before taking a break for something else, it's something I always look forward to reading more of.
P.s. I'm also near the end of 君にとどけ so perhaps that should be counted as a 2014 book.

I only read one Japanese book this year. (That's about my speed.) I am a fan of 東野圭吾 so I read one of his latest, パラドックス13. It was mystery mixed with some dystopian sci-fi. Pretty entertaining if you like that sort of thing.
