Why is kunoichi written this way?

A kunoichi is a female ninja. Kunoichi is written くの一 or くノ一. Why is it written that way?

Comes from the kanji for woman: 女, which as three different strokes looks like く ノ and 一. Can also just be a slangy way of writing 'woman,' it doesn't have to be a ninja.

It's derived from Tzadik. It's pretty rare that people ask to be honest--I've been using this name online for like 17 years and maybe ten people have asked about it. Mostly people who speak Hebrew. I'm not Jewish myself, I just read a silly essay about Kabbalah when I was a kid and I thought it sounded cool. For some reason it was romanized as 'Tzadeck' there but I've never seen that anywhere else.
