Edit: Feel free to email your ratings to saori.no.email[at]gmail[dot]com. I've kind of had enough of forums in general (-_-). They're not for me. So I won't be coming back.
My research team could use a rating for the manga, 月と海, from complete beginners! Complete beginners have gotten together their studying materials, know greetings and some basic vocabulary and are still learning hiragana and katakana.
月と海

月と海 is a story about a cat who lost its owner and the dog it meets. There are a few kanji, mostly katakana and some hiragana. Lots of sound effects, limited dialogue.
All we need from you is:
-A basic description of your own Japanese ability (learning kana, working on RTK, know some basic vocab, can't put together sentences yet, etc.)
-How you read this manga (with a dictionary, with a kana chart, without a dictionary, etc.)
-How much you understood (didn't understand anything, could follow along with the story, picked up new words, understood perfectly, etc.)
We'll credit you for your rating, so let us know what name you'd like to be credited by (first name and initial of last name, or by an alias). We'll take into consideration your rating as we think of an official rating, and then post it on our website (coming soon).
If you're interested in rating more manga for us in the future, let me know! We don't have any complete beginners on the team yet.
