Audibook discussion (not pirating)

#1
So the other thread got closed, which is fair enough, but I do also want to talk about audiobooks in a way that fits well within the rules of the forum, so I've made another thread which is just for that.

I noticed that http://www.febe.jp/ has two subsription services:

1 book a month - 980 yen for the first two months
1300 yen after the first two months

2 books a month - 2470 yen

(they also come with a few additional perks)

This is often quite a lot cheaper than buying them normally and as far as I can tell there's nothing stopping you from signing up and then immediately cancelling your subscription. The small print actually says "登録された月に退会された場合、2ヶ月目は特別価格(ゴールド会員980円)で登録する事はできません", which means it's possible to resubscribe whenever you want (still 1/2 books a month of course) and there's no mention anywhere of the books only being available during the subscription period. Does anyone see anything that suggests I'm wrong?

I'd also like an answer to the question I posted in the other thread: Do all the books come with scripts?

Edit: The other site that was posted on the other thread http://www.digigi.jp/

Did you notice that there are over 30 Japanese audiobooks by L. Ron Hubbard on Audible.com? http://www.audible.com/search/ref=a_sear...e=Japanese

I think I might give an audiobook a try. Hanzawa Naoki was really popular, so maybe I'll get オレたちバブル入行組.

And by some other people by the looks of it. Thanks for the tip Smile

Thanks, I didn't realise my koohii email was so out of date it no longer exists. I tried to update it earlier today but still haven't received the activation email so I think wizardry may be afoot.

Sucks about the scripts but I knew it was too good to be true.

Edit: No wizardry, just slowness.
