I checked out the first page of one of the stickied threads, and didn't find an answer. Everyone else seems to be doing just fine with their Japanese-English dictionaries. However, I just purchased and downloaded a Japanese dictionary, and I can't get it to work. I even changed my Paperwhite back to all-Japanese-all-the-time (a joke), and it still doesn't work. I looked at the dictionary settings, and there it is under Japanese, and my English is still the Oxford American, and the English dictionary seems to be the default as it has an arrow next to it. But I can't change that to be the Japanese one instead. I am trying this with an html file, which works fine for English searches. I don't know what to do! It shouldn't be this complicated! I also need help displaying text vertically.
無理です。
Edit: It seems to be working now, after continually switching dictionaries, two resets, and the Kindle itself adding its own Japanese-Japanese dictionaries.
Edit 2, or P.S. Edit
: This dictionary has trouble with searching for 消. It works for other words, but for that one, at least in that context, it did not work. 「消」を探さない、この辞書。
