So a big jump in mature cards overall, which is what I expected since I changed my deck to me kanji -> definition.

I'm kind of surprised that the N5 - and especially the N4 - % mature didn't change very much. But hey, I'll definitely take the increase in the N3-N1 decks.

It will be fun to see what happens over the next month. Something tells me that I'll another bump in % mature in June as well.

Had to quit due to school but now I have the free time to get back at this. I guess I have to start over again but getting back to where I was won't be as difficult as the first time since I've already done it before so they're etched somewhere in my brain. June was a pretty good month for me; I had a pretty big jump in mature, and added a ton of new cards too. The drawback of this of course, is my daily reviews are starting to get a bit out of hand, so I think I may slow down some in July to catch up. However, school starts for me on August 20th, and I would like to have every card added by then so that I only have to deal with reviews. I'm not sure if that is going to happen at this point, though. If I have a good amount left by time school starts, I may only add new cards on the weekend, which of course will slow me down substantially.

Also, with the way I am studying, It is going to take me a while after adding all of the cards to say I have "learned" them. I am going off of Anki's definition of "Mature." If "Mature" meant cards I was very comfortable with, that number would be much lower.

Not as big an impact on total cards seen as last month, but a pretty good jump in mature.

Thanks, I haven't had much to do over the summer so naturally I could invest a lot of time to studying. I'll probably grind to a halt for a while later this month for a while after classes start again, so hopefully I can get back into things quickly. Also keep in mind that ATM I am focusing on the parts of the kanji used in RTK, so I still have a ton to do in terms of matching up readings, with me only knowing common kanji's readings now. And all of this is just a drop in the bucket considering how much further I have to go for full Japanese proficiency.

I've abandoned RTK and moved on to wanikani, a program that does what RTK does PLUS vocab and readings. It's expected to take 1.5 to 2.0 years if used daily so there's obviously no way I could win this race anymore. Consider this a forfeit.....unless I decide to come back to RTK which I don't see happening. Ariariari, pick a humiliating profile picture for me ?

I'm curious, did anyone ever finish the race?

Certainly not me! Nor do I think that I ever well!
