If someone who has downloaded the deck would like to upload it, I am happy to share the link here, just send me an email.
This is not the end of Core5000 or any subsequent or future decks.
I will be looking at an alternate way of sharing decks, and I am looking at the possibility to host my own website, with several different decks with native audio.
The new deck I am working on will essentially be Core5000 [version 3.0] with loads of added extras, that will enable you to slowly transition into the Core5000 content without it being such a steep learning curve.
Ill post more info when I get closer to a realise date.

All you have to do is put a mega.co.nz link in the head post. Unless you really do want to create a website.

Alot of these cards are superfluous, and the relevant information is found in the key sentences.Nayr182 Wrote:Glad you like the genki deck. I might be looking through that deck again soon as i am working on one deck which will cover the kana, genki, core 5000, the 3 grammar dictionaries and another verb book , all whilst seemlessly integrating a light version of rtk.I'd love to see the grammar dictionaries with native audio, but that sounds like a behemoth of a deck!

I went through and deleted all cards except for the key sentences, and got the deck down to 1500 ish cards. The voice is already recorded. The errors have been fixed. All i am doing now is adding the grammar information to the cards.

Anyhow I guess it is too late now. Removing that click from every audio chunk would take forever.
Unless some geek out there can write a program to batch-process the entire data base.

Unfortunately it is the click of the mouse hitting 'stop recording'. Not really much that can be done I am afraid.

Could you explain how you did it?
Also a huge thanks to Nayr182! This deck is amazing and the person reading the sentences has the sweetest voice. I'm on card 271 now, doing 10 new cards every day.

I have added a new link to the original post, let me know if you have any issues with it.
It is slightly different from version 2.0, as I have fixed up some errors etc so some of the voice might be slightly different on 20 or so cards.
It also contains some pictures I added for my personal use, so feel free to delete them.
Enjoy.

I've heard sirens on a few tracks, and I'm pretty sure I heard a cat meowing on one. Just adds to the deck's charm.

Hello,
I am having some trouble using MorphMan (version 3.3) to change the new cards order for this deck, I always get an error because my config.py file is not configured correctly and I don't know what the problem is.
Could anyone please post the config.py configuration (maybe with some comments on changes and why these changes were made) in order to use MorphMan for Nayr's Core5000 deck?
Any help is much appreciated.

Not sure if there is a better way or not.

Is there anyone way the deck 2.5 mirror could be popped up on something like mediafire as well, because I've been trying for the better part of two days to download this file, and keep getting some stupid error.

Upload it to MEGA which is highspeed most of the time.
p.s
what are updates of 2.5 from 2.0?

Yea, the mega link isn't working for me either. Media fire would be great!
I have a couple of question about the deck. I've read that this is more of an intermediate deck, and I'm curious as to why it is classified as such. What is it about this deck that makes it more for the intermediate than the beginner?
I did a couple of the beginning cards and I found those cards weren't actually very different from the cards I found in core2k part 1, substance-wise. The only difference I found was that there was more of a focus in core 2k on specific kanji in the sentences. The kanji that was suppose to be the focus would be in bold, and the answer would reveal both the sentence meaning and the kanji in it's unconjugated form.
I was using core2k as strictly a sentence deck if that helps to see where I am coming from. I got rid of all the vocabulary cards except the spoken vocabulary for the sake of hearing the kanji in it's unconjugated form, so that I could make comparisons between conjugated and unconjugated. I figured it would help my understanding of the grammar. Unfortunately, core2k was purged from the anki shared web, and I only had part 1 of the core2k deck. I can't find nukemarine's optimized deck either, so I'm kinda stuck right now. I love Nayr's deck for it's format. J-E sentence method is how I'm choosing to study Japanese, but the intermediate label is scaring me away from the deck.

Some of the sentences can be quite difficult, but that is not to say you can't get through it.
If you use morphman to organise the deck and you have already completed around 1000 elementary style cards which is roughly the equivalent of completing Genki 1 and 2, you shouldn't have too much trouble. Without morphman, you will hit random difficult sentences as it is not ordered by difficulty.
For the very reason of making integration into this deck easier, I have just finished typing out and recording the voice on a new deck I am making. (haven't come up with a name yet, but hopefully something more original and 'Nayr's Core9000').
Its features:
~1000 cards from Genki 1 and 2,
~1500 cards from '600 basic japanese verbs book', about
~1500 cards from all three Grammar dictionaries taking the sentences from the key sentences,
~5000 sentence from Core5000.
All cards will come already pre-arranged in n+1 using morphman, so no need to stuff around with complicated settings.
So that is around 9000 cards in total, and a much smoother learning curve that just attacking Core5000 alone.
This deck is designed to take you from knowing nothing at all, not even hiragana, and take you through to Advanced level.
There will also be a RTK companion deck, which introduces all the kanji (~1700) that appear in the 9000 cards, but in the context of a common word that appears in the 9000 cards.
The two deck should work together and make everything click together much nicer.
Currently no ETA, but shouldn't be too far away.
