I don't see why i should do the same exact thing on Anki, it just seems like a waste of time to do the same thing twice.

Definitely don't do it in two places; just pick one.
RevTK pros: Access to stories + nice presentation.
Anki pros: More sophisticated SRS algorithm (not huge difference but may save some time) + portability options, e.g. reviewing on a smartphone / tablet without being online.

I use this site to save my stories and do my initial learning of each kanji. Then I do my reviews exclusively on Anki. I like the customizability and portability of Anki, and I'm reviewing other decks at the same time (vocabulary, grammar) so it's nice to have everything in one place.
