Fwiw, the death note subs on kitsunekko need to be re-timed, if you are using videos that have the この番組には。。。 shpiel in them. Most of them are off by about 10 seconds. Not a hard thing to fix using Subtitle Edit. In general you will encounter such timing issues about half of the time you grab subs from kitsunekko. The subs and source files on d-addicts are more reliably in sync.

I woke up the next day realizing that maaaaybe I'd really overdone it the previous night. I must've deleted around 200 cards. Mostly useless stuff that I already knew by heart, but that I kept because the snapshot and the audio /video extract were just too awesome to ignore. That's what I like to call the Hellsing Ultimate effect. Stupid, but way too cool to ditch.

Anyways, I'm loving my subs2srs decks... compared to pimsleur and corexK, it's really night and day in terms of oral comprehension.

Secondly, you can watch it raw and then read an episode synopsis of what you just watched. You aren't going to understand everything, but guessing what is going on is an important skill as a language learner anyway. There are plenty of anime blogs that talk about each episodes of different series, and Wikipedia tends to have synopses as well. (If you are watching something that follows the manga closely, you can also try reading that.)
