Need help with AGTH for video

#1
I've started using AGTH recently and while it worked perfectly when I tried it with a game (Steins;Gate), I couldn't get it to work with VLC.
I did the exact same thing as with the game .exe : made a shortcut from the software, put it on my desktop, copied AGTH location and added it at the start of target section of the program's properties. Tried it with several animes with .ass sub files and although agth is launched when I start the player, nothing ever appears in it.
Please somebody help.

You can make a .bat file with something like this:

Code:
@echo off
start C:\agth\agth.exe /C "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe"
Remember that in AGTH you will need to select "TextOutW".

Thanks for the help, I did just that, but it still didn't work.

Assuming VLC displays the subtitles fine but AGTH doesn't catch them, I'd say try a different player. For example, Potplayer.

I tried Potplayer and get an "error : can't install hook" message at launch from AGTH...

Edit : finally got it to work with Zoom Player. うれしいよ!!

Are you using AGTH v2008.11.10 or a different version?

I think KMPlayer also works with AGTH, and it also has a subtitle explorer where you can double click a line in the subtitles and jump to that time.

Yeah, KMPlayer is fantastic. It's also great when you need to adjust subtitle timing on the fly. But, the original developer left a while ago and went on to make Daum Potplayer, so the new KMPlayer kind of sucks now. I'd recommend an older version of KMPlayer (3.0.0.1441 is good).

I'm using version 2011.5.9. I'll give kmplayer a try, thanks for the suggestion.

Tried it, didn't like it. I'll stick with Zoom.
