Will this be enough?

#1
Hello, my goal is to get good at reading. But I still am an beginner so I need your advice.
At the moment I'm reading 1-3 articles from NHK News Easy and of there are sentences or grammar points which I don't understand I'll let so someone help me.
But I don't know if this is enough to get good at reading and comfortable.
Besides that I'm learning words and working my way through AIATIJ.
But will this be enough to get good at reading in an not so long time?
What else could I do?

Oh and I wanted to ask if you also had problems with the NHK News Easy articles?
I don't understand anything. I only hear and there a few words. But when I read it I understand it pretty good. And even after I read the article and re listen to the video I have many many problems and all the things I understand this time are because I already read the article. But without reading the article I get nearly nothing out of the video.
Did you also had these problems?

Thank you for reading

I'd recommend going through a textbook with grammar at some point. After doing the Genki series I find that I can understand most of the grammar in NHKEasy (or make an educated guess), so knowing the grammar will really help. The main thing that trips me up there is the vocab. but that's why I always have an electronic dictionary handy when I read. As far as understanding what you hear, that just takes practice listening (finally my countless hours watching anime and dramas have some use!).

You say that your goal is to be good at reading, yet, you are concerned about your ability to understand the spoken word – so you care about both, right?

Here is how I approach the NHK Easy news.

I listen to them on daily basis (usually the whole batch for a given day) and do only light reading (or almost no reading at all) of the articles. The grammar of the articles is basic and I have no problems whatsoever here. The vocab, OTOH, varies greatly and I do have to resolve to dictionary lookups to understand some sentences (like today, I had to look up 邪魔 in:
イラク軍と警察は、選挙の邪魔をするテロが起きないように、厳しく警戒していました。).

There are sentences that I can understand straight of the bat (again, while listening only).

The normal versions of the news (which I gradually include in my studies) pose a bit of a problem because sentences there are more complex.

If you persist with studying these articles (which I highly recommend you do) you should soon be ok with grammar patterns (provided, you actually study those that you are not familiar with yet). Be prepared however to deal with unknown vocabulary for quite some time.

Tae Kim's grammar guide and associated anki deck are really good for basics

I (as do many others here) strongly recommend them
