Trying desperately to find The Nihongo Journal again.

#1
So my University recently just decided to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of Nihongo Jounral and the CDs, and I'm trying desperately to track them down online. The other day I actually managed to find a bunch on eBay, but now I can't find them again. I'm at my wit's end guys. Where the hell can I get them?!

Unless there is a *legal* archive somewhere online, you will probably have to go the ebay/used sales route. The Hiragana Times is still available as a subscription, and it has some similarity to 日本語ジャーナル, although (from what I can tell), it's a little easier since everything has Ruby text. It also offers a digital version with MP3 audio downloads. Here's the web site: http://www.hiraganatimes.com/

To answer your specific question: I don't know of a place to buy old copies other than searching through Google. Sorry.

You know. If they just got rid of them, they might have them in the back waiting to have something done with them. Did you see if you could have them or purchase the stack for a small some?

I asked them about them, but everybody looked at me like I was crazy for even asking, and my emphasising how important it was got me absolutely nowhere except annoyed looks. Very frustrating. I'm still trying to find out what happened to them a year later.

They actually gutted their whole language section completely. Except for Vietnamese, the only materials left are basic dictionaries. Almost everything else has been completely gotten rid of. It's ridiculous. Tens-of-thousands of dollars worth of materials have just gone up in a puff of smoke and nobody will tell me what happened to them.

The search continues. Anybody have experience tracking this kinda thing down got any tips on who I might track down and talk to?
