Yomichan txt files break up, text is missing etc.

#1
Hello,

First of all I'm terribly sorry if this thread is not supposed to go in here. I've posted in the original yomichan thread and sent the creator a message, but haven't gotten a reply, and I'm kind of desperate.

I can't get Yomichan to work for me properly. I have copied some text and converted it into both utf-8 and shiftjis and it doesn't work. In word I don't even have to option to convert into utf-16.

What happens is this: In any other format, that is not one of the recommended ones, the text is either converted into question marks, what I assume is nonsensical chinese characters or some strange characters that are beyond my scope of recognition.

With the recommended formats the text breaks up in an odd way and most of the text from the actual .txt document is missing.

I have also tried a myriad of other options when converting these files in word, and nothing seems to make it work in yomichan. Has anybody else had the same problem? Can the creator perhaps give me some advice?

I am using a Macbook Pro running Mavericks.

Thank you very much.

Ok, I think I may have solved this one on my own. I looked through the menus searching for some solution. Under "view" I stumbled upon something called "word wrap". Not knowing what it was I pressed it anyway just to see what might happen, and low and behold, all the text suddenly appeared! I have no idea why, but using a "word wrap" is apparently the solution. I hope somebody else with the same problem as me sees this!
